Congratulations to the four senior recipients of the 2024 ABC Foundation Scholarships!

Kaden Frazier - Kaden has always had a passion to become a chef.  He plans to study at the Culinary Institute of America next year.

Heleana Allen -   Heleana plans to major in History in college.  Her goal is to pursue a graduate degree in museum studies where she hopes to learn how to conserve and display history.

Lydia Chernowski -  Lydia will attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where she will major in agriculture studies.  Lydia was inspired by our Wheeler Teacher of the Year, Mr. Dezern, and plans to become an agriculture teacher.

Celeste Valentina -  Celeste dreams of becoming a physician.  As a first step towards her goal, she will attend Chattahoochee Technical College in the fall to earn a medical assistant certificate.  Celeste credits her mother and grandmother with pushing her to persevere and pursue her dreams.

AP Exam Snack Help Needed

Did you know that almost 1,500 AP exams will be administered to Wheeler students across two weeks in May? Most of the AP exams have a 10 minute break, and we need your help to donate and distribute healthy snacks during those breaks. 

Here is how you can help:

1) Sign up to provide snack donations, and drop off donations at Wheeler's front office between Mon, April 29 - Wed, May 1.

ABC Foundation Scholarship

In keeping with the mission to support and promote academic success for all Wheeler students, the Wheeler ABC Foundation and our very generous donors are pleased to award four - $500 scholarships to deserving Wheeler seniors who plan to further their education by enrolling in either a four-year or two-year college degree program or technical certification program.

The application window is now open until 11:59pm, March 25, 2024.

AP Scholars Recognition Night

On Friday, January 12th - the Wheeler ABC Foundation will be recognizing our AP Scholars at halftime of the Wheeler Varsity Boys Basketball Game against Osborne.

An AP Scholar is a student who has made a 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams during their time in high school.

Students who have earned this distinction will get in free courtesy of the The Wheeler Athletic Association, and if parents would like to come, they can purchase tickets here: https://gofan.co/event/1151830?schoolId=GA5387

(Note: the ticket is for both the girls and boys varsity games which begin at 6 pm - boys game will begin at 7:30 pm).

Come Hear Jed Applerouth, founder of Applerouth Education talk about digital changes to the SAT

The first-ever digital PSAT launched this month and the digital SAT is coming in March.  What does all this change mean for current high schoolers as they apply to college?  What’s on the new test?  How should students prepare for it?  The ABC Foundation invites you to hear from Jed Applerouth, founder and president of Applerouth Education, for answers to these questions and more!

Join us on Monday, October 23rd at 7pm in the Performing Arts Center at Wheeler.  All students and parents from any Cobb County high school are welcome to attend so please spread the word!

ABC Foundation & Applerouth Offering Mock SAT & ACT Tests

ABC Foundation has once again joined with Applerouth Tutoring to offer mock SAT & ACT tests for this school year. These are full length, proctored tests under the same conditions as the real one. It’s test-like practice without the test day pressure.  Afterwards, a comprehensive score report will be sent out to help you target areas for improvement and plan for the real test.
